The bleachers were a much-fought-over element in court over the last three years as a piece of the legal battle between landowner Horsemen’s Sports Inc., and rodeo organizer Corn Palace Stampede.
After learning the new rodeo organization has yet to make a rent payment to the city, a member of Horsemen's Sports deemed it a breach of the lease agreement and urged council to end the lease.
Corn Palace Stampede is seeking an extension to remove its bleachers and property that it successfully sued for earlier this year from its former landlords at the Horsemen’s Sports Arena.
