Alex Pietrangelo scored 46 seconds into overtime on a 2-on-1 to give the struggling Vegas Golden Knights a 2-1 victory Thursday night over a Boston Bruins team still searching for a victory with a game left on a four-game trip. Jack Eichel also scored for the Knights, and Mark Stone assisted on the winner. “I love to beat the Bruins,” said Knights second-year coach Bruce Cassidy, who coached Boston for six seasons.

Nick Schmaltz's goal with less than a minute left in overtime gave the Coyotes a jolt they needed badly. Schmaltz's 13th goal of the season came with 55.6 seconds remaining in extra time and Arizona edged the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Tuesday night.

Schmaltz’s goal was his 13th of the season and snapped a rough stretch for the Coyotes, who had been blown out in three straight games. He flicked a wrister past Boston’s Jeremy Swayman, who entered the game midway through overtime after Linus Ullmark left with an injury. The Bruins have lost three of their last four.

Johnny Gaudreau's shootout goal lifts Blue Jackets over Flyers 3-2

Johnny Gaudreau scored in the shootout, Damon Severson and Jake Bean netted goals in the third period and the Columbus Blue Jackets came back to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Thursday night. Gaudreau, Columbus’ first shooter, beat Flyers goalie Samuel Ersson and Daniil Tarasov clinched the victory for the Blue Jackets with a glove save on Tyson Foerster.
