Federal lawsuit agaiait the Sioux City Community School District. North high schools previous band director resigned after stealing thousands of dollars of school instruments. In 2013, kevin massey was sentenced to three years of probation and a fiveyear suspended sentence. He pleaded guilty to theft after prosecutors lowered the charge. Plus, he was ordered to pay most 20,000 in restitution totohe School District and three pawn shops. Investigators say he stole more than 50,000 in instruments to cover gambling debts. New details are being released following a threat made friday against sheldon high school. The threat was written on a bathroom wall of the school, but officials have not revealed what the threat said. According to the Obrien County attorney, a 14yearold boy was s ken into custody on saturday. The county attorney confirmed he was a student of the high school. The boy was taken into detention. A hearing is set to determine whether he should be held in detention or released
