Subcultures and obsession are explored in PVT Chat, starring Peter Vack as Jack, a lonely New Yorker living in a crumbling studio apartment. He spends his nights frittering money on online Blackjack, then spunking more on sexual encounters with Cam Girls.
He becomes particularly enamoured with one West Coast dominatrix named Scarlet (Uncut Gems’ Julia Fox), who reveals something personal in exchange for a higher tip and begins what he sees as a personal connection. Jack’s fixation becomes stronger when he sees Scarlett in the street, and realises she is closer than he thought.
Dragon Rider review – familiar animated family fun

While most of the industry has scrambled to find a release strategy during the pandemic, animated family films have thrived thanks to captive audiences and a need for home-based entertainment. According to rating compiler Neilsen, Pixar’s Soul was the most watched content over the Christmas period, while films like Trolls World Tour and Scoob benefitted from On Demand releases.
Sky hope to get in on the craze with Dragon Rider, the latest in their slate of original movies coming straight to the Sky Cinema channel. It tells the story of Firedrake (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), a young dragon living with his kind in a hidden village far from the destructive tendencies of humans. When their home comes under threat, Firedrake and his best friend, a forest brownie named Sorrell (Felicity Jones) go in search of The Rim

The locals were… curious. For the past few weeks, as they’d gone about their business around the nine cities that make up Greater Palm Springs, or hiking in the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountains, strange things were afoot.
A deep hole was being dug into the desert floor close to the small resort town of Rancho Mirage; sections of what looked like a wall decorated with zigzags were being erected in the sparse, rocky Adams Park next to Palm Desert; just outside Palm Springs, huge slabs of mirrored glass were being built into a structure that would eventually turn out to resemble a bungalow.

Florida has a fearsome reputation for hurricanes, alligators and hanging chads, but in this vast sea of crazy, there is an island of tranquility. Its name is Fort Lauderdale.
