Low-cost equity capital is hard to come by, which is why the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) program was created. Since its creation in 2000, the NMTC program has deployed some $61 billion in tax credits to generate equity investments in urban and rural low-income communities. MONROVIA – Many deaths in Liberia could have been prevented if only the country was well equipped with the infrastructure, equipment and expertise needed to salvage some medical conditions.
As a result, high-ranking officials of government and other big fishes who have the financial means are often evacuated from the country or travel to foreign countries for medical attention.
Two notable medical evacuations recently by the government of Liberia cost US$150,000 each. That was the case of Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor and former Minister of Public Works, the late Mobutu Vlah Nyepan.

On March 16, 2020, Canada announced that it would be
closing its borders to international travelers but for a few
exceptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A few days later, Canada
and the United States mutually agreed to temporarily restrict all
nonessential travel across the U.S.-Canada land border. The travel
restrictions are still currently in force at the date of
publication of this article.
Further, on March 25, 2020, Canada imposed a mandatory 14-day
quarantine period for all travellers entering the country. The
mandatory quarantine order provides only for a limited number of
