A legislative panel on Tuesday endorsed the state Department of Commerce s request for $25 million in federal American Rescue Plan funds to help educate more nurses in Arkansas, and the state Department of Human Services request for a total of $16.3 million in federal American Rescue Plan funds to provide emergency assistance to four hospitals.
The state is one of the first nationally to complete a post-pandemic eligibility review of the government-funded health care program for lower-income residents.
