May 6 An Aurora City Council committee may recommend a Humane Ordinance that would ban the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits that come from breeders.
Members of the Rules, Administration and Procedures Committee have already said they want to send to the full City Council an ordinance that would ban those sales, while allowing people to get animals sourced from rescues, shelters or humane organizations. It would allow existing pet stores to partner with those types of organizations to do adoptions from the stores.
