A historic school in Columbus will be restored through a major renovation. The Columbus Municipal School District hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the old Hunt High School.

Hunt Intermediate Academy, once R.E. Hunt High, now teems with life as construction workers are in the beginning stages of rebuilding what was damaged by an EF-3 tornado in February 2019.

Wilson County added it's fourth school-based health clinic this year at Ralph L. Fike High School. Clinics like these have been shown to improve health outcomes and academic performance.

In his 15 years as a Columbus city councilman, Fred Stewart rarely claimed the spotlight. He was content to leave most of the debating to others, instead preferring a low-key approach.
