60s. 70s and 80s. Is that me . Im just looking at the mcarthur maze. I see that traffic is going to be a little busy. As we can start with the maze if you want. I was looking at it. Let me show you what i see. Thats traffic come around the corner to a crowded bay brim toll plaza. I was just noticing the brake lights got my attention come around there and getting to the bay bridge. Lue see the traffic at the toll plaza will be backed up here and it could be because the metering lights turned on and they are a little extra slow. We had a little bit earlier a stalled vehicle. Westbound 80 at 9th. I dont think thats what caused it. Not a lot of people coming in here. Looking at interstate 880. This still doesnt look back past the coliseum and driving on northbound 880 to downtown oakland. Westbound 580 traffic is doing well as you drive past the lake shore and continue. This is a look at the freeway southbound. You can see traffic is slow already. Southbound starting at 238. It gets better
Surprised that this happened. Now you could see the tall flames from ignacio valley road. 7 engines arrived and police were escorting people out of the condo. The crews needed to knockdown the fire fast since many were sleeping at this hour. Neighbors say there has been multiple problems at this condo and the police have been called on several occasions. One woman who says shes on a Neighborhood Association board but didnt want to be identified said the family in the upstairs unit was evicted. Last night she was supposed to leave. She was supposed to move, and it was the day she was supposed to be out so i find it very interesting that the house is on fire. Now, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. We did talk to Walnut Creek Police who say they are not investigating this fire. We have three phone calls in Contra Costa Office and the fire marshals office, but we havent heard anything back. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. We do know that the red cross is he
Weve dropped anywhere from ten to 12 degrees from reading to allentown, so when that is reflected on the actual thermometer readings talking a lot of 20s, not just in the poconos, but Lehigh Valley and berks county. Thats why we are concerned about freezing rain. Thirtysix is the actual temperature at the moment at Philadelphia International airport. Modest breeze, enough that you will notice it, hugging the winter cota tad tighter, but not blustery day, rather, just one of those days that features little mixed bag. Pretty whimpy warmfront with moisture content, it will be very warm couple of days coming up. By the time we hit 3 00 p. M. Or so this afternoon, pat, i think talking mid s, eventually we expect to hit 50 degrees later today. Not bad. Then maybe 60 . It is in the future. Thats crazy. We will talk about that coming up, im sure. Thank you, katie, this is the vine, normally telling you 5 00 a. M. There is construction just wrapping up right now. It is crystal clear, headed bet
Steve not yet. We are in route 7 in sterling. Moving to ashburn. A little blue in the sky at this hour. The temperatures are cold enough for snow. Roadways are treated so no problems there. So when the light snow does arrive in the next few hours and in the overnight hourses the main roadways seem to be well treated at this point. We will make the final destination in ashburn over the next 15, 20 minutes or so. We will pull out the computers and take a look at what is going on in about 15 minutes. But right now looking at route 7, we are headed to ashburn. No problems at all. The roadways are dry and a little blue sky. Lets head back inside the studios with doug. Doug all right, steve. On the radar and the satellite you can see a little break of clouds in the west. But the other side of the mountains the main weather disturbance to bring us measurable snow tonight. Intermittent for the next few hours and later i the future cast gives us a guide for the everything and the nighttime hour
Morning. Its coming down pretty good around d. C. Its still above freezing downtown. When we zoom out, look at this next wave. Here it is right here coming through charleston and cincinnati. Thats the way it will come across our northern zones for the most part. Were going to get a little break here between now and 6 00, 7 00. Then we really start to see it move in and thats when we really start to see the snow. I dont think you need to call the loved ones and tell them to get home early. Rush hour tonight should not be affected by the snow. Isolated slick spots and bad weather around 10 00. Thats the hour we think its going to be coming down steadily in some parts of the area. By 10 00 the sun and melting in the roads. This is going to be a very quickhitting event. But because its through the portions of the early morning, thats why we could have some problems. Theres another storm. A saturday snow moving closer to our area. Ill see you back here in about ten minutes. Things looking o
