Ontarios Animal Welfare Services says another beluga whale has died at Marineland.

Another beluga whale has died at Marineland, bringing the number of whales that have died to 15 over the past four years.

Coming from Marineland, the Niagara Falls, Ont., theme park, he was quiet and unsure in the natural habitat. Now he's thriving, confident and "a ham," says Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.

During that time, provincial authorities raised concerns about the parks water quality and had declared all of the marine mammals were under distress

At Marineland, the Ontario theme park subject to a long running animal welfare investigation, 14 whales and one dolphin have died since 2019.

Details about the deaths are contained in a list created by the Ministry of the Solicitor General following freedom of information requests.
