13,400 miles of state-designated trail to enjoy throughout Michigan

Environmental Working Group said eating 1 freshwater fish caught in U.S. equals consuming water containing 48 parts per trillion of PFAS for 1 month.

Heres where the state recommends not consuming fish in Livingston County.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released new guidelines regarding how much carp and rainbow smelt people should eat from certain lakes. These recommendations are in addition to existing Do Not Eat Fish advisories.

Yousef Rabhi's tenure as a state representative has ended. However, he will be sworn in Wednesday evening and return to the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. Winter has brought construction on the Washtenaw County Border-to-Border Trail to a halt. About 36 miles of the roughly 45-mile trail that will run from Ypsilanti Township to Stockbridge is complete. WEMU’s Josh Hakala has an update.
