17. Deputies are still in los gatos with jean elle. Reporter they are, jessica. The shooting in this Quiet Community happened more than 12 hours ago. Sheriffs deputies are still here collecting evidence. Two people connected to this scene are dead. But we dont know why. Investigators work into the night, documenting a deadly crime scene in the los gatos mountains. Deputies discovered a chaotic scene, inside a home in Redwood Estates just before 11 00 this morning. Got a text from a friend of mine, saying there was a murder across the street from my house. And was i okay . Reporter phil said he left home just before neighbors heard gunshots. He believes that someone killed a man who moved in about a year ago. He has two boys. A nice guy. Had nice kids. He was active in their lives. He played sports with them and stuff. So, its kind of sad. Investigators say one person was shot to death in the home. And two others hurt. Evidence markers stretch around the corner from the home. Witnesses
Investigators still trying to determine why a son would allegedly attack his own mother here. Officers happened to be on the scene after 7 00 this morning. They were responding to an unrelated call. When police arrived, they found the suspects mom injured and her son holding an ax. Police say to prevent more injuries and possibly death to the victim, commanders here say the officers fired their guns. Both the mother and son are at area hospitals, expected to survive. Their condition is stable at this point. The officers who fired their guns are at Police Headquarters right now being questioned. One of the commanders on scene says its hard to explain the family on Family Violence over the last couple of weeks. Its a little frightening to see some of the violence thats occurring within the family situation. Its unfortunate. Well be out there doing the best we can. Since reopened but a family is now devastated after learning that their daughter was killed. This is a young lady gone down like she was nothing reporter the woman gunned down while driving on highway 4. Somebody seen something. Please we are begging you im begging you please come forward she has four kids four kids reporter and she was pregnant with her fifth. Her family says she became distant recently when she started dating her boyfriend the owner of the lexus that was shot up. At first, police thought it was a car crash. But when officers arrived, they quickly saw it was something much more. Both the woman and her boyfriend were shot. The vehicle had collided after the vehicle was shot at several times. Reporter this is the second freeway shooting in the last month. The third on highway 4 since november. Police believe this was no random shooting and that the gunmen target the lexus. I can tell you as a Law Enforcement, we are very concerned. Reporter the suspect of this mornings
