SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Emergency crews responded to the scene of multiple cars stuck in the roadway early Monday morning.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15 on I-20 W near the Traffic Street exit.
DOTD is working to get a sand truck to the roadway to help the drivers who have been stuck for over an hour.
Drivers are reminded to stay home during the severe winter weather unless absolutely necessary. Those who must travel are encouraged to drive slowly and carefully.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Emergency crews responded to a wreck involving an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 on I-220 W at I-20 in Shreveport.
The Shreveport Police Department and Fire Department responded. The 18-wheeler appears to have flipped onto its side, blocking I-220 W where the loop becomes LA 3132 at I-20. Traffic is being diverted onto I-20 W. The 18-wheeler has spilled some of its sand mixture related to oil and natural gas drilling.
