Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed a first Australian Grand Prix victory and the 37th win of his career at the end of an incident-packed Australian Grand Prix that featured multiple Safety Cars and three standing starts. Lewis Hamilton took his first podium finish of 2023 with second place for Mercedes and Fernando Alonso took his third P3 finish in a row for Aston Martin.
The FIA Girls on Track programme staged its second event of the season in Saudi Arabia at the Diriyah E-Prix supported by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF).
The FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) has been challenging drivers and their teams since its inception in 1984 with events across the region on varied terrain.As well as traditional desert-based rallies, the MERC includes rounds on gravel and asphalt with high ambient and ground temperatures a constant hurdle to overcome.
With the support of the Mapfre Foundation, FIA Member Club the Touring y Automóvil Club de Colombia organised Mobility Workshops at the national level to raise awareness among young people (from kindergarten to grade 11) about Safe, Healthy and Sustainable Mobility. 80,746 children and adolescents from 120 public and private educational institutions took part in the workshop from June to November 2022.
