A striking image of a polar bear sleeping on an iceberg has won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Peoples Choice Award.

The winning photo, Ice Bed, serves as a visual representation of the detrimental impacts of climate warming and habitat loss. It highlights the integral bond between animals and their habitats and emphasizes the urgency of addressing climate change.

The 25 images in the running for this years Peoples Choice Award received a record number of votes, with over 75,000 people casting their ballots to name the winner.

Pictures of a happy turtle and a dragonfly, ethereal moonlit jellyfish, an unusual murmuration formation, and a lion cub enjoying a groom were also highly commended for the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year prize, which is voted for by the public.
