There is palpable tension in Enugu State capital as reports indicated plans by State High Court allegedly contemplating the release of the two key suspects in the gruesome murder case of late Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mbah, traditional ruler of Oruku community.
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested two more suspects in connection with the protracted bloodletting and destruction of houses and other property worth millions of naira in Oruku community in the Nkanu East Local Government area of Enugu State. Security sources told SaharaReporters that the two people arrested were involved in the burning of scores of houses in the troubled community since December 26, 2020, after the gruesome murder of the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mbah.
The Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign trigger-happy police Inspector for allegedly shooting dead the traditional ruler of Oruku community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Late Igwe Chidiebere Emmanuel Mbah and one of his collaborators after 32 months of murder. The suspects, Inspector Daniel Denis and Chief Moses Nnamani, were brought out on Wednesday and would be arraigned in court at any moment, an insider source told SaharaReporters on Thursday.
