There were some rumors that the other Illinois big man, giorgi bezhanishvili, may not return next year. He was rumored to be going back to Europe or just transferring schools, but that may factor in to Omar Payne (Florida big man) transferring in to Illinois. In that scenario, Kofi may stay and Payne could be the backup. Pure speculation based on nothing but rumors, however that is the fun of the offseason.
