Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed off on an amendment of Public Act 102-0006 section 735 ILCS 5/2-1303 of the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure which will award prejudgment interest of six percent for personal injury or wrongful death, accrue on date action is filed.
