Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, the company’s new mid-range 5G SoC at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021. It is based on 6nm process technology, has Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU with new architecture delivers up to 40% performance uplift and the Adreno 642L GPU is designed to deliver up to 40% faster graphics rendering compared to the previous generation, said the company. It has Qualcomm Spectra 570L triple ISP and 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor delivering up to 12 TOPs AI performance, which is a 2x improvement compared to its predecessor.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 11nm Mobile Platform with up to 2.2 GHz CPU announced
Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 678, the company’s next generation Mobile Platform in the 600-tier and the successor of Snapdragon 675 that was introduced back in 2018. This has Qualcomm Kryo 460 CPU clocked up to 2.2GHz, compared to 2GHz in the predecessor and has Qualcomm Adreno 612 GPU, which the company says has been improved compared to the predecessor, offering faster speeds with greater efficiency. The Qualcomm Hexagon 685 DSP adds smarter, more robust computing while prolonging power even further.
It has a new Spectra 250L ISP, while retaining the same Snapdragon X12 LTE Modem with advanced carrier aggregation offering downloads up to 600 Mbps and uploads up to 150 Mbps.
