Imd Rainfall Alert News Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for several parts of Central and East India till 14 February. The weather department also predicts a rise in minimum temperatures by 3-5 degree Celsius in many parts of India.

With isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall quite possible over Gujarat Region & south Rajasthan today and tomorrow as well as over north Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra today, mild to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm & lightning is expected.

The IMD had earlier issued an orange alert for Telangana on Monday and Tuesday. Heavy rain warning has been issued in some districts of Sangareddy, the western part of Medak, and some parts of Jagitial, Karimnagar, Pedapalli, and adjoining areas.

The IMD stated in its bulletin that this weather trend was anticipated across Gangetic West Bengal today and tomorrow, over Odisha from Monday through Thursday, and over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from today through Friday.

Weather Today: There is a high likelihood of light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning and isolated heavy showers in parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on August 29.
