As the general election approaches, Prime Minister Hun Sen has issued a sub-decree to extend the validity of expired Cambodian new model ID cards, enabling their use for the July 23 election. Composed of five articles, the sub-decree was jointly signed by Hun Sen and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Kheng on June 20.
