The Manipur government on Sunday relaxed curfew restrictions in Imphal East district between 5 am to 5 pm in order to facilitate the public to buy essential items.

In the meantime, internet blackout in Manipur has been extended by the government until June 20.

The curfew relaxation was granted after the state witnessed acts of violence in which at least 60 people lost their lives.

Curfew has been lifted for Imphal East, Imphal West districts from 5 am to 12 noon Friday.
