The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is rescinding its Implementation Order around Kenora Fire 27 effective at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25.
The roads that will reopen include:
Sand Lake Road from the intersection of Hwy 596, east through to the English River Road, and all branch roads within
English River Road beginning at unnamed road (1 kilometre north of Forgotten Lake), through to Lennan Road, including all roads within.
Area residents will be allowed to once again visit their property, access closed roads and make use of Crown Lands adjacent to previously closed roads.
Kenora Fire 27 is burning out of control north of Kenora and is currently 4,480 hectares in size.

The Implementation Order for Kenora Fire #27 will end at 12:01, May 25th.
The Fire is located north of Minaki and has 10 crews working to put out hotspots.
Its been mapped at 4,480 hectares in size and is still not under control.
Kenora Dire# 25, located near Willard Lake, has 31 crews working on it and eight helicopters.
While there has been minimal fire activity over the weekend the MNRF has been doing some infrared scanning to identify hot spots for fire crews.
The Implementation Order for that fire ended early this morning.
The MNRF says the public is reminded that Kenora fires 25 and 30 are active fires with ongoing fire suppression.

Kenora Fire 27 is being held.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) says Kenora Fire 27, 52 kilometres north of Kenora, has been held at 4,480 hectares.
Yesterday, the MNRF said 10 Fire Ranger crews worked to extinguish hotspots on the fire s perimeter and establish campsites and helipads.
This morning, the Implementation Order around Kenora Fire 27 was rescinded. Area residents will be allowed to visit their property once again, access closed roads, and use Crown Lands adjacent to previously closed roads.
