Innovative planning mechanism developed in KP Peshawar February 10, 2021 PESHAWAR: The Planning and Development Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has developed an innovative sector-wide planning mechanism termed as the Programming Approaches/ Analytics & Measures Framework (PAMframe). A press release said under the leadership of the Additional Chief Secretary, Shakeel Qadir Khan, the planning framework has been improved based on the last one-year experiences when it was piloted for the Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP) 2020-21 of the merged areas. The integration of the PAMframes within the systems of the line departments has been distinguished as a major step forward to foster the planning of the KP government.

Safari Bus Service to be launched in Khyber CM Mahmood chaired a meeting on the progress made by the task force of tribal districts PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has approved to launch a Safari Bus Service in Khyber district. While chairing a meeting of the newly merged district’s task force on Thursday, the provincial chief executive directed the tourism department to take necessary steps to start the aforementioned bus service in the short run and take up the case with Pakistan Railways to initiate the launch of a Safari Train Service in the long run. Matters pertaining to progress made so far on the ongoing developmental schemes, law & order situation, issues related to merger and administrative affairs of tribal districts were also discussed.

65 mega road schemes being executed in merged districts Peshawar January 13, 2021 PESHAWAR: Under the Accelerated Implementation Programme (AIP), 65 mega schemes in road infrastructure are being executed in the newly-merged districts for which more than Rs 17 billion have been allocated in the current financial year, a meeting of Communication and Works Department was told on Tuesday. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan chaired the meeting which reviewed the progress made so far on the projects regarding construction and rehabilitation of roads in the newly merged areas. It was also informed that work on 114 other projects of road infrastructure under the provincial Annual Development Programme (ADP) is also in progress for which an amount of Rs 4.00 billion has been allocated in the ADP of current financial year.

NNPC Appoints EITI Implementation Programme Manager

By Peter Uzoho The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the appointment of Ms. Murjanatu Ibrahim Gamawa as the Implementation Programme Manager for the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). The corporation said the appointment was in line with its resolve to deepen compliance with the transparency standards dictated by the EITI as a supporting company and to help drive speedy attainment of the EITI requirements across its operations. NNPC in a statement signed by its Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru, stated that Gamawa’s appointment which would take effect from January 2021, was a practical step towards entrenching the culture of transparency in the corporation.
