The Hungarian companies 4iG and E-Group ICT Software are among 19 businesses participating in a European Union project to support the development and deployment of next-generation cloud infrastructure and services, the Economic Development Ministry said on Tuesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The Commission has approved, under EU State aid rules, an Important Project of Common European Interest (‘IPCEI\') to support research, development and first industrial deployment of advanced cloud and edge computing technologies across multiple providers in Europe.
