The City of Monroes Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Footbridge could soon receive a much-needed face-lift.

The City of Monroe is looking to overhaul the playscapes at several parks to modernize the equipment and help make outdoor play more accessible.

The long-range plans include rehab of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Pedestrian Bridge, and expansion of the Opportunity Center and Navarre Library.
