UDM leader Bantu Holomisa has roped in communications minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, SABC board chair Bongumusa Makhathini and SA Council of Churches general secretary Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana, asking for their urgent intervention on Umhlobo Wenene FM issues.
Umhlobo Wenene FM’s popular radio presenter Rev Mzukisi Faleni had been suspended by the station with insiders believing the move was a “witch-hunt” to get rid of him from a station he has served for 21 years. Faleni, a presenter of the popular religious programme called Imvuselelo (Revival) which airs on Sunday evenings, was suspended on June 10 by the station’s business manager Loyiso Bala for an alleged “conflict of interest”.
