this bill. i don t think we ll find out very soon what it is. we ve learned that this president loves to talk but we haven t seen a whole lot of details so we ll see. but, you know, my view of his speech was that it was an absolute fraud and it was a fraud because he told the american people that everything was paid for in this bill. so what he s proposing is spending yet even more money in a stimulus that, remember, didn t work the first time. it s put us in the ditch. he wants to spend more money but now he wants the super committee, this other group that s supposed to find all these other cuts in spending to add on to those cuts that they need to find, the $400 billion that he wants to find. he was whining about trade agreements that weren t taken care of. guess what, brian, they re sitting on the president s desk. they ve been sitting there for over three years. and part of the problem is unions don t want to see those trade agreements passed and a lot of republicans do and democ
do i look like a socialist? wait, don t answer that, because i am wearing the boots and everything. all right. this puppet show is going on to. they re kicking dirt on us now. it seems to me like the car is down in the ditch. now we re pulling up a dump truck. we re just dumping contents on to the car and us in the ditch. here s what is coming. inflation. you listen to the people on television, and look. i m not an economist. i m a high school educated guy. maybe that s why i can see things that other people can t. because i don t have that big old head where i ve been, it s been filled by the so-called experts. i pursue these things myself. i try to figure it out myself. i look at what is happening in the country and listen to the
goes backward and you don t want to give the keys to the same people who put us in the ditch. people get that stuff. you don t have to campaign against george bush, but people know who got us in this problem. the president s got to remind people about that and then go on and talk about the positive things he has done and wants to do. and that s the election winner. i ve said before on your show, that i don t think we re going to lose either the house or the senate. we simply have better candidates and people are afraid of extremists and they won t vote for them. there ll be some that get elected to the senate, but not many. you stand by your prediction that democrats keep the house and the senate? i do. governor dean, former democratic party chairman, thanks for joining us, gov.. thanks for having me on. so there s a bunch of don t ask, don t tell news right now. first, the big vote is scheduled in the senate tomorrow, that could conceivably move the whole mess toward repeal.

and their friends today are immigrants, gay people, lots of people of different kinds of races, and that s the future of america. so this is really the last gasp of the far right, energized by a bad economy. as famously a 50-state strategy guy, when you were democratic party chairman, somebody believed that every republican district should be contested and that every race is at least theoretically winnable, democrats should at least try, what do you think is the key toward getting more democratic voters to actually go vote this year? toward upping democratic enthusiasm? well, i do think the president makes all the difference. if he s out there doing what he s doing today, he did a town meeting today, it was very, very good. he if he s out there all the time, and he needs to be harry truman. i ll tell you, i have heard more times from people in the street, yeah, you know, if you put the car in d it goes forward and if you put the car in r, it goes backward and you don t want t
