The CTIF Commission for Firefighters Health works with issues regarding the prevention and compensation of work related cancer, as well as PTSD and other mental health related issues affecting firefighters.
The commission normally meets physically once of twice per year. In its current constellation the Commission met for the first time in late 2019, but has since temporarily due to the Covid-19 pandemic met virtually through online platforms.
The first online meeting of the Commission in 2021 is set for May 4.
One of the primary goals of the Commission is to gain consensus amongst representatives of a wide international community in order to create CTIF recommendations and Best Practices regarding firefighters health which can be adopted as universal, international guidelines.
Prominent building at Diekirch brewery burns 18.04.2021 Police say they haven t ruled out arson as they investigate overnight blaze
By Sarah Cames and Emery P. Dalesio
Arson has not be ruled out after a fire early on Sunday gutted a decades-old stone building at the site of the brewery which produces Diekirch and Mousel beers.
The blaze at the Brasserie de Luxembourg in Diekirch left a new beer production building that opened in 2019 undamaged, authorities said. The damaged building was intended to be preserved as the site is rehabilitated into a residential community that has been planned for a decade and in development since 2012.
