A completed containment line continues to evade those working on the Mosquito Fire. The terrain at two spots is keeping the containment line at 95 percent. It started near the town of Foresthill on September 6. The cause of the fire that has burned 76,788 acres is under investigation.

Idaho activates more Guard troops to aid in COVID-19 fight

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes released a COVID-19 update for the reservation Tuesday that includes recent deaths from the virus on the reservation, which has around 6,000 members. Active cases have decreased recently, but in the last couple weeks, there have been four additional COVID-19 deaths, according to the Tribes news release. There have now been a total of 15 deaths on the reservation from the virus. × Story continues below video These deaths have deeply impacted our community and we continue to pray for our community and the families in mourning, according to the Tribes news release.  It said the COVID-19 numbers fluctuate daily based on the COVID-19 screenings taking place on the reservation.
