Sunshine and 60s make a bright return. Tomorrow afternoon, rain chances will increase. As cold air catches up to the moisture, we could have some wintry mix.

High-pressure keeps the sunshine around southeastern Wisconsin through the early part of the work week. A wintry mix may move in later in the week.

Yesterday's official high reached 48°, though some areas peaked in the 50s! The mild air is surging in as high pressure moves offshore and the return flow behind it will dominate through the upcoming weekend. Get ready for a taste of spring fever! Today will offer plenty of sunshine with increasing afternoon and evening clouds. Highs will make it into the lower 50s today.

After morning freezing fog, sunshine may break out in some spots today. Near the lake, clouds may linger through the afternoon.

With cold air in place, we have to watch a weak wave of low pressure developing to our south tomorrow on MLK Day. The daytime hours will be quiet, but light snow will begin to move in as early as 6 PM in southern areas.

Arctic air is spilling into the Mid-South and chances for snow are right behind it. Accumulation is likely as temperatures remain below freezing until Thursday!

A Winter Storm Watch will go in effect Sunday night, lasting until Tuesday morning prompting us to call for a Storm 5 Alert.

A clipper system brings light snowfall to southern Wisconsin on Sunday. Up to 2 inches of snow is possible in some spots.
