Has been no movement, and the democratic party doesnt appear to be interested at all in incremental change. thats frustrating. >> geoff, do you think -- im curious what you think about that and whether you think president biden in making this call to, yes, drop the filibuster, drop that rules -- make that rules change happen, could be a difference maker here for senator manchin despite as jessica notes, that skepticism among some activists that will get done. potentially, and that is one of the ...

To be upheld and declared valid by the supreme court, the supreme court is going to have to overrule roe versus wade. >> lets talk about what john roberts can, does, wants to do, what he can do. the associated press writing that chief justice john roberts might find the most incremental approach more appealing if he can persuade the majority of courts to go along. since roberts became chief justice in 2005, the court has moved in smaller steps on some issues, even when it appears there was a bin...

Conservatism in the sense of civic virtue, how about virtues like stability, order, discipline, incremental change. thats where, you know, think about edmond burke, they moved so far away from that. when trump came in, he was about chaos, disruption, disorder, these are anathema to conservative virtues, and values. talking about conservatism as policies on taxes and regulation, i think completely misses the point of the broader philosophical debate the party needs to go. >> who gets burdened by ...

Done, get brexit done, donald trump says keep america great. theres a lesson for the democratic party, a revolutionary candidate, and in jeremy corbin, some would call it marxist and its not what if your goal is to defeat donald trump. a lot of americans dont want to replace a right wing, culturally based populism with an angry left wing based populism. i think voters are much more interested in incremental change. there are more measured statements. think country i think does better that way ra...

Maxine waters saying get into peoples faces. you see people, confront mitch mcconnell in a restaurant with his wife or sarah huckabee sanders. this type in-your-face politics, i think, is just terrible for the country. i mean, as a republican, somebody in the center right movement, call me that, ive often thought we should be talking about stability, order, discipline, temperance, incremental change. these are good virtues, not only for republicans but democrats. we need to get back to that. im ...

The white house or the administration about guns. i dont know when well get to that point. if you are asked as a reporter to make a projection, will there be action on guns as a result of what happened in florida? >> we could see tiny, incremental change. i think the midterm is playing a role in change in congress this year. we see on the ground or states, unlike many previous time of a real pressure from voters that something would be done. i think we can get a sense of that polls when donald t...
