Be it would be the anti-trump, the absolute polar opposite. a fundamentally descend, intelligent, policy driven conservative like paul ryan. i understand how difficult that will be. we dont know what will happen with the house of representatives. theres no shortage of intelligent, principaled conservatives who want nothing to do with this ugliness. but theyre going to have to find a way somehow to emerge from this rubble. >> you know what? im so out of time. what about mike pence? does he potent...

Messenger for it as well. i think michelle obama now, safe to say, is the rock star of the clin campaign this cycle. her convention speech in philadelphia. this speech today. i think shell go down as the most effective surrogate for hillary clinton this year. >> she is obviously a powerful voice out there. even when hillary clinton is not on the campaign trail like today, she is doing some fund-raising, she has these surrogates who really help her. >> no doubt. when michelle obama goes out to sp...

Sanctity of the voting booth. i disagree with ben carson entirely. frankly, i dont even care the language that goes on in a locker room, i find it extraneous. the question is can we put up with someone, can we offer them our vote and support when we know that person not only sounds like what he presents as a playboy but as a sexual predator? this is so far over the line that i think we have to recognize we wouldnt want this man as our next door neighbor, much less the inhas been tabt of 1600 pen...

It is completely indefensible, and i wont defend it. >> indefensible. that was trump adviser new jersey governor chris christie reacting to donald trumps lewd comments caught on tape in that 2005 video that was leaked last friday. despite that, chris christie is still standing by trump. trumps comments, part of what led house speaker paul ryan to tell his fellow republicans his focus was now on the house, not getting donald trump elected. trumps reaction has been predictably hars. he just tweete...

Approach? >> well, the hillary clinton campaign has taken a scorched earth approach because she really doesnt have a positive message for america and her actions do speak louder than words, so what youve got here is an outright, you know, brawl. and i think were going to see it for the next four weeks. donald trump is going to be talking about his agenda of change. hillary clinton is -- i dont know if shes going to try to defend the indefensible, whether shes talking about the unrest in our inne...

There are 300 million people and this is the best we can do. thats what i hear that i would estimate close to 2/3 are not happy with either choice. im probably about where most of the american people were. they are not happy with the choices and i happen to be one of them. after the comments on friday. you cant defend the indefensible. the speaker was correct when he said he couldnt defend the nominee anymore. we should focus on protecting the majorities and we in congress need to be a check and...

Was his internal struggle taking public office at the same time his commitment to faith. now you have his running mate, this situation, which undermines everything that mike pence was demonstrating he represents. so, he wouldnt be going to the luncheon to the paul ryan event. is he likely having his own internal consternation and stru struggle about whether he stays on the ticket. >> without a doubt, he is having a lot of internal discussions and certainly with top aides, many from which he brou...
