India Canada News LIVE: It is estimated that 29 gangsters from Punjab region and the surrounding areas are taking shelter outside India to evade the law. The majority of them left India using Indian passports, fake-forged travel documents, or the Nepal route in the past. Amid growing tensions, the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi on Thursday called on the Indian government to ensure safety and security of diplomats and staf
"With some diplomats having received threats on various social media platforms, Global Affairs Canada is assessing its staff complement in India," the High Commission said.
India News: The action has been taken over security threats being faced by Indian high commission and consulates in Canada, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said.
Khalistani terrorist Sukhdool Singh, also known as Sukha Duneke, was killed last night in Canada in inter-gang violence, sources said. Duneke was part of the Khalistan movement in Canada.
