The Madhya Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, made several important decisions during a recent meeting. These decisions include providing domestic gas cylinders at a rate of Rs 450 during the Sawan month, postponing increased electricity bills until August 31, 2023, and increasing incentives for ASHA workers and supervisors, among others.
The Cabinet has also approved an additional subsidy of Rs 200 under the Ujjwala scheme, following which, beneficiaries will now have to pay Rs 400 less in total.
Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh accused the Modi government of being "high on political gimmick" and low on relief after the reduction in fuel prices.
