A survivor of Gujarats Morbi bridge tragedy, while recounting the harrowing moment, on Monday said that some mischievous people were shaking the ropes of the bridge before it came down killing about 132 people and injuring over 100.

On May 6, 2019, when the victim had gone for her classes, the accused maulana sexually assaulted her and threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke to anyone about it. The girl returned home and later told her mother about the assault, following which a case was registered against the accused.
