Pakistans space program has fallen behind Indias due to a combination of factors, including the military-theocratic state and the focus on Pakistans nuclear program. In the 1960s, Pakistan had a head start over India in space exploration, but the program lost momentum in the 1970s when key figure Abdus Salam left the country. Pakistans space program has also been hindered by political instability and a lack of technological infrastructure.

Highlighting the intense race towards militarisation of space, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan today made a strong pitch for developing dual-use platforms with a special focus on incorporating cutting-edge technology in the space domain.

Discovery Plus announced their new original documentary, titled India’s Space Odyssey. Set to premiere on October 7, the documentary has been narrated by actor R Madhavan in Hindi, the streaming service said in a statement.
