Pennsylvania’s Primary Election is May 18
th, and the deadline to apply to vote by mail is this coming Tuesday, the 11
th. Mail-in or absentee ballots may be applied for at the Indiana County Voting & Elections Office at the county courthouse.
This year’s Primary ballot includes four constitutional amendment questions and a special election for the 60
th District seat in the state House of Representatives. That district, which includes a portion of Indiana County, has no current legislator after Representative Jeff Pyle was forced to retire on March 16
th due to health reasons. The candidates are Pyle’s chief of staff, Republican Abby Major; Democrat Frank Prazenica Jr.; and Libertarian Andrew Hreha.
