B'ville man found guilty for accident that severed a leg

Dec 22, 2020 The Burnettsville man who caused a Sept. 21, 2019 accident in Royal Center where his passenger’s leg was severed was found guilty of criminal recklessness, a Class B misdemeanor. Brady Riley, 20, was sentenced Thursday to 180 days in Cass County Jail by Cass Circuit Court Judge Stephen Kitts. Kitts found him guilty during a trial before the sentencing and also set Jan. 28 as a restitution hearing for Riley. Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies took Riley into custody after the sentencing. Riley’s attorney, Andrew Achey, said he plans to file an appeal and disagreed with what the official records from police state.
