Transgender Day of Remembrance, observed on November 20, is a day to memorialize transgender, non-binary, and gender nonconforming individuals who have been murdered as a result of transphobia. In 2021, 50 fatalities were associated with transphobic acts of violence. Local trans activists spoke about the plight of transgender people in Northwest Florida.
