The clear sky and sunshine brought relief to the city’s residents from the overcast and gloomy weather.

The mercury crossed 21 degree Celsius in 15 cities including Ratlam-Satna on Wednesday-Thursday night.

The day temperature crossed 36 degrees Celsius, on Wednesday, and the regional Meteorological Department officials forecast no relief for the people for the next few days.

No chance of heavy rain for couple of days.

The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius (normal), and the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.3 degrees Celsius (1 degree below normal).

Central and eastern parts of the city received 23 mm of rainfall while the western part received only 9.8 mm of rainfall throughout the day.

The city recorded 44.5 mm rainfall throughout the day with which the total rainfall of the season has reached 110.1 mm (4.33 inches), so far.

According to Regional Meteorological Department officials, the weather will remain the same on Monday and the city will witness light thunderstorms for the next two days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted respite from the heat for Indore from June 15 onwards, with the coming of monsoons. The department also predicted pre-monsoon drizzles to reach the city by June 10.
