The Indian government is planning to encourage states to re-evaluate their rules across four Labour Codes and align them with those notified by the union labour ministry to avoid legal issues and divergence. The move follows a study by the VV Giri National Labour Institute, which highlighted wide differences in rules between central and state and union territories.
