Taking advantage of dense fog, terrorists are desperate to infiltrate this side of the border ahead of Republic Day.

Indian army foiled an infiltration attempt by Pakistani terrorists through the Bhimber Gali sector in Jammu and Kashmirs Pooch district on Sunday.

Uniindia: Jammu, Jan 3 (UNI) Alert Army troops early morning on Monday successfully foiled an infiltration bid in Bhimber Gali sector along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian army foiled an infiltration attempt by Pakistani terrorists through the Bhimber Gali sector in Jammu and Kashmir Pooch district on Sunday.

Indian Army on Sunday informed that in breach of the ongoing Ceasefire Understanding between the two armies across the Line of Control (LoC), an infiltration bid was foiled by neutralising a terrorist in the Keran Sector of Jammu and Kashmirs Kupwara district yesterday.

Swift action by the troops deployed at the Line of Control foiled the bid and eliminated the terrorist, later identified as Mohd Shabbir Malik, a Pakistani national, equipped with weapons, ammunition and warlike stores. 

An infiltration bid by a Border Action Team (BAT) from Pakistan was foiled by the Indian Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmirs Kupwara district, a military statement said on Sunday.

Noting that the militancy has significantly reduced in Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh said that 134 youngsters joined terror ranks in the Valley in 2021 Out of the 134 72 were neutralised while 22 others were arrested

General Officer Commanding (GOC) 15 Corps, Lt General DP Pandey on Friday said that the infiltration attempts from the other side of the border into Jammu and Kashmir have gone down this year, adding that terror groups are trying to recruit young children aged 15-16 years.

Pandey also said that the violence has also reduced in the Union Territory this year, adding that militants are finding it hard to recruit people into the ranks of terrorists.
