THE Minor Injuries Unit at Tenbury Community Hospital is open again from this morning. It was closed earlier in the year so that staff could be redeployed to help deal with the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases but now that the level has dropped the unit that is on the same site as the community hospital can open again. The South/South West Hospital Group have issued a statement to say that the Emergency Department at Cork University Hospital (CUH) is “exceptionally busy today and over the last number of days”. THE Minor Injuries Unit at Cardigan’s Integrated Care Centre has been shut. As part of its response to the coronavirus pandemic, Hywel Dda University Health Board has temporarily closed the unit in order to redeploy clinical staff to support the Covid-19 response within Ceredigion.
