1971 Indo-Pak war: PNS Ghazi, sunk by Indian Navy's INS Vikrant during 1971 Indo-Pak war, found near Vizag coast

Indian Navys DSRV has located the wreckage of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistani submarine sunk during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, near Vizag. Despite the find, the Navy has decided not to touch it out of respect. The area also holds the wreckage of a Japanese submarine from World War II. Indias acquisition of DSRVs in 2018 has enhanced its rescue capabilities, showcasing its commitment to maritime safety.

Indian Navy: Milan 2024: War exercise including 50 Navies kicks off in Vizag

Milan 2024, the Indian Navys biggest multilateral naval exercise, has begun in Vizag. The Harbour Phase, from February 19 to 23, features a city parade, maritime seminar, tech expo, and various events. The Sea Phase, from February 24 to 27, includes air defence, anti-submarine, and anti-surface warfare drills. INS Vikrant, INS Vikramaditya, and other warships will be showcased.
