Gold Coast man charged with domestic violence offences after emergency declaration

A Gold Coast man, believed to have a firearm and who triggered a school lockdown and made threats against police, has been charged.
The 37-year-old suffered a dog bite to his forearm on Wednesday afternoon when police arrested him after a search that lasted more than 24 hours.
Police are searching for the man in an exclusion zone in Ormeau on the Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Police wanted to question the man over an incident in Upper Coomera on Monday.
However, police began searching an area in Ormeau, causing an emergency declaration to be made for five hours, and forcing the Ormeau State School into lockdown for five hours on Tuesday.
