The commission has directed the UGC to make a strategic Institutional Development Plan with the joint participation of Board members, institutional leaders, faculty, students and staff.

The University Grants Commission says that the decision to direct universities for uploading information is taken to avoid inconveniences to students.

Dr SM Jayakar, the Vice-Chancellor of BU, stated, “We came across this issue while scanning the exam answer scripts. We have lodged a police complaint against a few contract workers allegedly involved and intend to conduct further investigation.” The modus operandi involved deliberately leaving 41 answer scripts blank during the exam.
