Kansas plans to give $304 million in taxpayer-funded incentives to a semiconductor company in its largest city to build a huge new factory

The Japanese tech firm is already set to receive $829 million in economic incentives

Integra Technologies, based in Wichita, Kansas, is set to receive $304 million to build a new factory from the state. The federal government is expected to also help fund the project.

Gov. Laura Kelly announced Thursday that Kansas has an agreement with Integra Technologies.

The state entered an agreement with Integra Technologies to provide $300 million of incentives for the company to build the plant and create 2,000 new jobs in Wichita. But the deal still hinges on federal funding.
