Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has promised strict action against those behind the rocket-propelled grenade attack on the Punjab Police's Intelligence Wing in Mohali.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in his first remark on the attack at Punjab Polices intelligence headquarters in Mohali said cops are investigating the case and stressed that anyone trying to disturb peace in the state will not be spared.

Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice has warned Himachal CM Jairam Thakur after the Mohali grenade attack on Monday and said the attack could have also been on Shimla Police headquarters.

A rocket-propelled grenade was fired at the Intelligence Wing HQ of Punjab Police in Mohali on Monday, triggering a security scare in the border state. Here is what you need to know about the attack:

Eleven people have been detained by the Punjab Police in connection with an explosion at the Intelligence wing headquarters of the state police in Mohali. Sources said that the state police and other intelligence agencies are interrogating the detained persons at an undisclosed location.

"This grenade attack could have taken place at the Shimla Police headquarters," Sikhs for Justice's self-styled general counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun warned in an audio message

VK Bhhawra, DGP of Punjab Police said that nobody was in the office when the blast occurred at the Intelligence Wing headquarters of Punjab Police on Monday. He said Trinitrotoluene (TNT) was used to cause the blast.
