Jack Teixeira, 21, had been scheduled for a detention hearing in Bostons federal court on Wednesday. He has been charged with leaking highly classified military documents.

The 102nd Intelligence Wing, which is based out of Joint Base Cape Cod in Massachusetts, is having its mission "paused and divided among other units."

The defense said it “requires more time" before a detention hearing in the case.

Jack Teixeira was arrested by heavily armed tactical agents at his Massachusetts home last week on charges related to the dissemination of classified info.

The Massachusetts Air National Guardsman charged with leaking highly classified military documents made a brief court appearance Wednesday, as a hearing to determine whether he should remain jailed while awaiting trial was delayed to give the defense more time to prepare.

Reports have indicated suspect Jack Teixeira was driven to share classified documents to impress friends he made on the messenger platform Discord.
